Teaching Little Fingers
My favorite method books are the John Thompson books.
Beginner students start off with "Teaching Little Fingers to Play."
And after that initial book, there are several more to choose from
in the "Little Fingers" collection.
I even use these "Little Fingers" books for adult beginners
because the print is easy to read and the images help the learning process.
The "Teaching Little Fingers" books are a rote and note learning method.
You'll be playing simple melodies by the end of the first lesson.
And let's face it,
small accomplishments help keep a student of any age
motivated to continue!
